1. General
selfstead offers products that serve the purpose of helping its customers become more self-sufficient and sustainable. Hereinafter this will be referred to as the “Products”.
These Terms and Conditions and any documents referenced will be together referred to as the “L&A’s”. This applies to all offers of Louie & Abe V.O.F. and any of its affiliates.
By placing an order for our Products, the user automatically agrees to and are bound by these L&A’s. These L&A’s apply to all the users of this website, therefore, all users must read the L&A’s carefully before engaging with the website. The user must note that all features of this website are subject to the L&A’s.
Louie & Abe reserves the rights to update or modify the website and the current version of the L&A’s and it is the user’s responsibility to monitor our L&A’s periodically as your continued use of our website establishes acceptance of all our changes.
We are not held accountable if information on this website is not UpToDate, relevant or current. We hold no obligation to update information on this site. Any reliance on the content of this website is take at the user’s own risk. All information on this website is provided for the user’s reference alone and should not be solely used to make a decision.
Our website offer’s third party solutions to our users to assist with the operation of the website for a friendly user experience as well as security. We have no control, input or access to monitor these tools. Therefore, we hold no responsibility in the event of the user being dissatisfied by the use of the optional tools.
2. Orders and Products
After purchase and once the user’s card is authorized and order confirmed is confirmed, the user will receive a confirmation within 24hrs of placing the order. If the user does not receive this email, they must contact our Customer Service Team at info@selfstead.com
We reserve the right to limit or refuse our sales of Products to any user for valid reasons. If this occurs we will ensure that we communicate this to the user.
Some Products may have limited quantities, therefore some orders may no longer be available, even after the order has been placed and confirmed. In these cases selfstead is obliged to notify the user. The user may make another order or request a refund.
selfstead has made every effort to ensure that we capture the quality and aesthetic of the Products accurately.
All prices on our Products are subject to change. selfstead holds no obligation to notify its users of these changes and therefore are not liable for any modification with regards to price or discontinuation of our Products.
When a user places an order, they agree to provide current, complete and accurate purchase and account information for all purchases made at our store.
selfstead remains the owner of the Products until the user has made the required payment. After delivery but before payment has been made in full, you are responsible to keep the Products undamaged.
If a product is reclaimed by selfstead for valid reasons, we have the right to claim damage and interests.
3. Pricing and payment
All prices shown in the Website are in Euro’s and inclusive of 21% VAT
All credit card and debit card holders are subject to validity checks and authorization by the card issuer. If the issuer refuses to authorize payment, selfstead has the right to reject the user’s order.
We offer free delivery in Europe for all Products.
If a user has not made the payment in a timely manner, selfstead may reclaim and collect the Products, to which users are obliged to provide full cooperation.
4. Delivery, defects and errors
The Products are considered delivered when accepted by or on behalf of the customer at the delivery address. If the customer fails to accept the Products after two (2) delivery attempts, we will contact the customer for further instructions and may charge for storage and delivery costs. If we are unable to contact the customer to re-arrange delivery or collection, selfstead may terminate the agreement.
We aim to deliver the Products within 12 working days after acceptance of the order. However, delivery times are estimates and cannot be guaranteed.
The customer reserves the right to return a product in 14 days after purchase and request a refund or re-order.
selfstead will not be held liable for any default or delay due to any circumstance beyond the control of selfstead such as strikes or industrial disputes, civil disturbances, wars, blockades, natural disasters, the inability to obtain or retain necessary authorizations, permits, and compliance with any law or governmental order, rule, regulation or direction, regardless of whether it is later held to be invalid. In this situation both parties have the right to rescind the agreement if such activities lasts for more than 30 days.
5. Cancellation and Return Policy
The users may cancel their order before delivery in writing. To do this, they can email us at info@selfstead.com. Payments will be refunded.
The users may return or exchange the Products ordered within 14 days after delivery.
The Product must be returned in its original packaging and condition; with all accompanying materials included.
The user can cancel an order before the product has been shipped.
We will reimburse the purchase price and initial delivery costs (if any) as soon as possible.
In the event of an exchange, the purchase price of the exchanged Product will be set against the purchase price of the returned Product. An additional payment may be required.
6. No Guarantees
Any information provided on the website is general information and the user is solely responsible for the use and interpretation of the information on the Website. We are not liable for the information on our website and we do not warrant that the information on the website is reliable.
We cannot guarantee that the Website and its contents are accurate, complete, up to date, nor that the Website is available, uninterrupted, error-free or timely or secure.
We intend to display the Products as accurately as possible. All specifications are approximates.
We are not liable for any injury caused by the use of our product at any time.

By accessing our website the user automatically agrees to our Website Terms and will comply with them.
The website has the right to gather and retain the users IP address anonymously. selfstead may be requested to provide the user’s IP address by law
We may change our website and these Website Terms at any time.
This website is offered by selfstead V.O.F Amsterdam, The Netherlands, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KVK) under number xxxxxxxxx.
8. Account, Personal Data and Privacy
selfstead will process the user’s data in accordance with our Privacy Policy
9. Intellectual Property Rights
Unless otherwise stated, selfstead holds all intellectual property rights to the Website and its contents and the Products.
Any redistributing is not allowed at any time.
10.Termination
Both selfstead and the user may terminate the agreement.
The user may terminate the agreement by notifying us, or by ceasing the use of our site.
If in our judgment we suspect that the user has failed to comply with any term or provision of selfstead, we may terminate this agreement if the user has not resolved this within 14 days of having been notified thereof.
11. Jurisdiction
These terms and all agreements concluded between selfstead and the user, and all disputes relating thereto are governed by the laws of the Netherlands.
